In a bizarre collaboration that defies conventional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Uncovered
According to the formal release, "A strange confrontation leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where rumors of banned practices and terrifying transformations reverberate through the darkness." The storyline features a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden cult.
The adventure concentrates on "peculiar trials and a fearsome foe" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Transformations
The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a dramatic scene showing a character, probably the captive, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Extra Material
Players who finish the quest will receive an special katana together with numerous objects secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This release also introduces the game's newest free story content, titled "A Puzzlement."
